Report of the workshop on Indonesia's membership to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission and priorities for capacity building

This document contains a report of the workshop on Indonesia's membership to the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission, and priorities for capacity building. Forty-seven persons from various government directorates, civil society, the fishing industry, the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission (WCPFC) and FAO met in Jakarta, Indonesia, to discuss Indonesia’s accession to the WCPFC Convention, its obligation and responsibilities as a Contracting Party and priority capacity building and institutional strengthening activities. Financial and in-kind support for the Expert Workshop was provided by the Government of Indonesia, the FAO Regular Programme, the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
