A study on supporting direction of mountain-village community business for SDGs

This study was conducted to seek support plan for the sustainable development of mountain village community business. Based on the results of the preliminary survey on mountain village conducted every 10 years in Korea, the top two villages with the highest sales through community business were selected for the analysis among the mountain village ecosystem villages set by cooperation of the Korea Forest Service The basic data such as operation status, business status, income creation, cooperative relations, and resident participation related to the community business in the study site were collected through the literature and interview surveys. The collected data classified community business elements based on the SLEN (Sustainable Local Enterprise Network) model into the human resources, financial resources, and social resources, and we examined the common characteristics and specific characteristics of network structures Based on the characteristics of mountain village's community business network structure, the support plans for the sustainable development of mountain villages in economic, social and environmental aspects were provided. The results of this study are expected to be used as the basic data for discovering and establishing support policies in the future direction of sustainable development in mountain villages, focusing on network reinforcement policy support.
