Prevention saves lives saves livelihoods saves money
Preventing animal and aquatic animal diseases, plant and forest pest outbreaks and food safety incidents before they occur is essential to protect the food chain. Most food chain crises are preventable with timely actions and the right investments. The Food Chain Crisis Management Framework (FCC) is the approach taken by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to boost, scale up and pursue these preventive efforts.
