Joint Roadmap towards BAPA+40

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the World Food Programme (WFP), also known as the Rome-based UN Agencies (RBAs), taking into account their respective mandates, comparative advantages and distinctive strengths, share a common vision for an effective implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, through holistic approaches aimed at achieving in particular Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 – End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture. The objective of this Joint Roadmap, entitled “Towards BAPA+40: strengthening Collaboration among Rome-based Agencies on South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC)” is to present a shared action plan for enhanced collaboration between the RBAs in the area of SSTC, outlining the working mechanisms and shared priorities that the three RBAs will put in place, as well as the enhanced coordinated efforts leading to the 40th anniversary of the adoption of the Buenos Aires Plan of Action for Promoting and Implementing Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries (BAPA+40).
