Políticas públicas agrícolas y apoyo al desarrollo rural. El caso de quínoa

Chilean agricultural policies support exporting sectors. Quinoa producers benefit from rural development policies but the quinoa sector is not large enough to be the target for a specific public policy. Given that context, the sector is structured at a local level, initiated by a few project owners that have different objectives and methods. Therefore the ability of the quinoa to generate local development and to fit into territorial dynamics depends on the nature of these project owners. Thus their distribution in distant production areas results in different development profiles.
