Spreadsheets for computing charged-particle trajectories in 3-D electrostatic fields
Use of a spreadsheet program to solve the Laplace equation and calculate charged-particle trajectories in geometrically complex electrostatic fields is described. The technique is applied to the development of a new electron-scattering apparatus.
