Training-on-the-job on the practice of controlled drift spraying against locusts in Uzbekistan, 10 April - 30 May 2007
After two seasons of training on Controlled drift spraying in Kashkadarya and Karakalpakstan, several sessions of training on the job were organised in both regions. Training operations were performed directly for treating real infestations with motorised backpack sprayers, handheld sprayers and vehicle mounted sprayers. Three demonstrations of Teflubenzuron at low doses were also performed either in Kashkadarya on Moroccan locust and in Karakalpakstan on migratory locust. That demonstration showed good results against both locusts.
