Impacto de politicas agricolas alternativas : un modelo sectorial para su estudio
The Multilevel Analysis Tool for the Agricultural sector (MATA) is a partial equilibrium model built up to represent farmer's and consumer's decision making process to provide insight on their reactions to different policies. The aim of this paper is to present some of the outcomes of the various policies suggested after the exchange rate modification that took place in Burkina Faso during 1994, in order to point out the principal aspects of a tool that might help to evaluate #ex-ante# the effects of policies on farmers, urban consumers and the environment.
