Preliminary results of mapping RAPD and AFLP markers in pineapple

A genetic linkage map of RAPD and AFLP markers in pineapple is being constructed employing the "two-way pseudo-testcross" strategy (Grattapaglia and Sederoff, 1994). Hitherto, 76 RAPD markers and 29 AFLP markers have been confirmed as segregating among a hybrid progeny and their linkage relationship are presently being evaluated.
