Results of the fifth International Spring Wheat Yield Nursery (ISWYN), 1968-1969

The Fifth International Spring Wheat Yield Nursery ( ISWYN) was composed of 50 spring wheat varieties representative of the major spring wheat types. Data, received from 63 locations throughout the spring wheat regions of the world, included yield, agronomic traits and disease reactions. Statistical analyses and location summaries are presented for all traits mea· sured at each reporting location. Over all reporting locations Penjamo 62, Lerma Rojo 64 - Norin 1 Q. Brevor x Andes ( 3), Pitic 62, Siete Cerros and Sonora 64-Klein Rendidor were the top yielding varieties in that order. Tohari 66 and Huelquen gave the best performance under all three rusts over all locations, hut ranked 12 and 16 for yield, respectively.
