INIBAP External Review: TAC Commentary and INIBAP's Response
A joint transmittal from the TAC Chairman and the CGIAR Executive Secretary of the TAC Commentary and the INIBAP response to the external program and management review of INIBAP conducted in 1992. The review panel report itself is in a separate record.After reviewing the panel report, and INIBAP's comments, TAC said that two aspects of research on banana and plantain fell within the CGIAR mandate. These were disease-related germplasm research and crop management and post-harvest research. TAC recommended, with support from the CGIAR Secretariat, that the Group establish a task force to carry out a fresh examination of the GGIAR's options for supporting research on banana and plantain.Agenda documents at TAC 58 and the CGIAR meeting in October 1992.
