Guidance for CRP Second Call - DRAFT - Version 2

The development of the first generation of CGIAR Research Programs (CRPs) was a major institutional change program as it reorganized a large number of Center-based research projects and programs into a relatively small number of large programs that cut across the Centers. The focus during this process naturally was on re-arranging most existing Center based groups and activities to maximize leverage of past and ongoing work and minimize disruption. Each program was developed individually, some of them years earlier than others, and most proposals were developed before there was an overarching Strategy and Results Framework (SRF). While all CRPs were designed as programs of at least ten years duration, only the first three years were funded[1]and had detailed work plans and budgets: but not linked to measurable results mapped to the System Level Outcomes (SLOs).
