Problemas sobre la determinacion del rendimiento de frijol en parcelas de surcos simples

Based on information obtained on the production of different varieties of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) in single-row plots with no replicates, the effect of "clear spaces without plants" on production/plant was analyzed by means of coefficients of regression. Results clearly indicate that as the plot has more clear spaces and plants with no competition, production/plant increases significantly. Errors involved in reporting the productivity of material under study is discussed when the data obtained are for single-row plots only, whether this be expressed in grain weight/plot or tons/ha.
