SKIL August update
The August SKIL on-line news update covers: developments in the WTO challenge to the EU sugar regime, noting the insistence of the complainants that the dispute is not aimed at ACP sugar preferences but rather at the internal EU sugar arrangements which allow 'C' sugar to be dumped on world markets; Kenya's reintroduction of import duties on sugar imports including those from within COMESA and the management restructuring of Kenya's sugar industry.
