New animal transport regulations have been detailed, showing possible adverse implications for ACP producers. A call has been made for extension of special safeguard measures, particularly in relation to cotton. Dairy-sector reform will not reduce EU output and may lead to higher dairy-product exports. Sugar-sector reform is likely to reduce the earnings of ACP producers.
