ACP sugar news
The Skill sugar web site reported the following developments in January: a decline in Mauritian sugar production to 521,000 tonnes; a Kenyan commitment to banning cheap sugar imports to help an ailing domestic industry; the closure of Jamaica's Hampden Sugar Factory; the review of arrangements to privatise Kinyara Sugar in Uganda.
