The quality control for this labelling is coordinated and promoted by the Fair Trade Labelling Organization (FLO), which was set up by a conference of fair trade organizations in Amsterdam in April 1997. FLO is establishing a series of producer registers' which will list producers who meet fair trade criteria. They are organized by product, and the registers for cocoa and bananas are run for FLO by the Max Havelaar Foundation of Switzerland, at Malzgasse 25, 4052 Basel, Switzerland. Fax: +41 61 2717562. The tea, honey and sugar registers are run by Transfair International (address above). The international coffee register is coordinated by the ICR, c/o Max Havelaar Foundation of Netherlands, at PO Box 1252, 3500 BG Utrecht, The Netherlands. Fax: +31 30 2332992 email: icreg@euronet.nl There are regional administrators of the coffee register run by different members, contactable through ICR.
