Everything you always wanted to know about Leucaena trees

The Forestry Institute of the University of Oxford recently published a new volume in their series of Tropical Forestry Papers. Number 37 is entirely dedicated to the genus Leucaena, which is native to Central America and Mexico. One example is L. esculenta, a small to medium-sized tree that is cultivated in south-central Mexico for its edible immature seeds and pods. Besides Leucaena's genetic characteristics, this genetic resources handbook also discusses its taxonomy, and ethnobotany. Moreover, 22 species of Leucaena are described in detail.
