Harry potters away
Abiye Samuel Harry, who shares his Spore with more than fifteen other readers, is Principal Agricultural Officer in the River State Development Programme in Nigeria, and an avid user of Spore in his information work. 'I responded to the article Colour betrays the poison (Spore 88) about the work of J H Bradbury of the Australian National University, who provided me with a free kit to determine the total cyanogens in cassava root and products. This equipment has formed part of the material and method of my post-graduate thesis work on relating total cyanogens to CBB and CMB diseases. I am now a member of the Cassava Cyanide Disease Network.' There is an update of Dr Bradbury s work in News in Brief.
