Fruit and two vegetables

Fruit and two veg This book takes a comprehensive look at fruit and vegetable production within a framework of pan-tropical systems, providing information that may not be readily available elsewhere. The basic principles of production as well as all the necessary techniques, are presented in a clear and well-illustrated style. Fruit and vegetable production in warm climates is split into three sections. The first covers the many different types of fruit and nuts found in the tropics. It provides a botanical description, together with information about propagation, cultivation and post-harvest handling and storage. The second section provides similar information for vegetables, while the final section looks at protected environments such as glasshouses and plastic tunnels. With a large appendix of tables and clear glossary and index, this volume would be particularly suitable for institutions with horticulture and crop production courses. It is a companion volume to the recently published Fruit and vegetable production in Africa.
