Christophe Naigeon receives the Boerma prize

Chistophe Naigeon, a Journalist and Director of the Periscoop Multimedia Press Agency, has been awarded the 1990-91 BOERMA Prize for his services to agricultural development. Mr Naigeon played a big art in the inception of Spore. He directs Spore's French editorial team and coordinates the production, so today we feel we share in his achievement. Mr Naigeon began his career on the monthly publication 'Afrique-agriculture', and then became its Editor-in-chief. He initiated, and now coordinates SYFIA, which publishes monthly updates for the media on African farming. He is also involved in the new Courier de la Planete, published by Solagral which is concerned with agriculture and the environment. Periscoop, based in Montpellier France, also produces a TV magazine programme, hetertropiques, which deals with the reality of rural African life, and the monthly Libertitres, a compendium of the best articles which have appeared in the African press. Christophe was too modest to mention his prize, but we offer him our heartfelt congratulations!
