Insect inventory available

The Forest Insect Inventory System (FIIS), a computer database on forest insects, has recently been developed by the Royal Forest Department in Thailand. It is designed as a stand-alone database and runs on IBM-PC compatible computers. Hardware requirements are 640Kb RAM and a hard disk with at least 1.5 megabytes of free space. A colour monitor is recommended. FIIS allows users access to data on insect pests and the species they attack. It also allows users to search for insect pests that may attack a particular tree species included in the database. Users can enter their own data.
