Re-Form

Re-Form, the Caribbean Journal of Rural Development Issues, has brought out an issue (October 1987) after a gap of two years. This issue analyses certain important problems such as rural health, population growth, and links between small Caribbean producers and both domestic and foreign governments. Published in English and French by the Rural Transformation Collective of St Vincent and the Grenadines this journal provides a forum for discussion and thought for all those working in practical and theoretical ways in the field of rural development. The article on health, for example, demonstrates a serious concern for the conditions of those working in a rural environment. It is written with clarity, as is all the journal, and takes the original approach of referring to popular Caribbean folk music to illustrate certain problems. Unusually in a journal devoted to development issues, poems are published cheek-by-jowl with articles on pesticides, rural poverty and health, illustrating the desire of the publishers to reach all levels in order to educate and inform Available from: Rural Transformation Centre Diamond Village Diamond Post Office ST VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES
