Studies labour requirements, opportunity costs, and problems of hay making by pastoral women for households involved in initial extension activities in 1990. It provides a close link of research with extension and reveals wether hay making could be a viable intervention. Includes data for hay making for Boran households and time budgets of activities foregone for three priority persons observed in 62 Boran households involved in hay making.
