Livestock production in central Mali: Contributions of goats and sheep to meat supply of a Sahelian town

Reports the results of a two years study carried out at the slaughter slab of a medium-sized sahelian town conducted to examine the contribution of sheep, goats & cattle to meat supply. Compares sex, age, carcass weight, number of animals slaughtered, amount of meat available per head, and condemnations of lungs and liver in the three groups.
