Exploring the rich livestock diversity of Africa
There are new opportunities - as well as a growing and urgent need - for exploring the rich livestock diversity of Africa. In this short film, Steve Kemp, a geneticist at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) describes the need to study the genetics of the animals as well as the farming systems in which they are being used and their production characteristics.
