Efecto de la ingestión de las toxinas producidas por el hongo Beauveria sp. sobre la mortalidad de adultos y larvas de la pulga saltona Epitrix sp.

Beauveria sp. was evaluated in the laboratory of Institute Nacional de Investigacion -Palian-PerO as pathogen of adults and larvaes of "hopping flea" Epitrix sp. In a randomized design with three replications, sixty adults were distributed in glass dishes and thirty larvaes in petridishes. The first group received the toxins on the feeding. joined with leaves of potato; the second group received the toxins on the feeding joined with roots of potato. Mortality in adults took place by the fourth day. while the larvae were killed by the second day. These treatments are significantly more effective than infecting the insects with tegument.
