PLAC Network Best Practices Series: Pension Supervision

This first Document of Best Practices of the PLAC Network systematizes good practices in pension supervision and risk-based supervision throughout the region; updates and adapts the guidelines for supervisors created in 2008 by the International Organization of Pension Supervisors (IOPS) to the context and specific needs of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean; and incorporates current issues in pension supervision, such as the opportunities and risks generated by emerging technologies. It also carefully distinguishes recommendations for different levels of institutional development on regulation and supervision, as well as on heterogeneity in pension design among PLAC member countries.
