Editorial
Last September 15, 2017, the Colombian National Abstracting and Indexing System for Serial Publications in Science, Technology and Innovation, Publindex, published the results of the announcement No. 768 for 2016, “Announcement for Indexing of Specialized Colombian Scientific Journals – Publindex”, which measured the national scientific journals by enforcing the criterion of visibility and impact of national journals based on: The position of scientific journals in any of the four quartiles (Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4) of the Journal Citation Report (jcr) of the Web of Science or the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (sjr) of Scopus. Grouping, H5 calculation, setting of threshold-2 and quartile identification (Google Scholar H5 calculation) by area of knowledge.
