Некоторые закономерности питания личинок сельди (Clupea harengus membras L.) и ее воспроизводства в Рижском заливе

The distribution pattern and the long-term regularities in feeding of spring spawning herring larvae have been considered. It has been established that feeding habits and high electivity in the consumption of the main food organisms - Eurytemora hirundoides and Nauplii copepoda - are expressed in herring at early stages of ontogenesis. These were conditioned by a narrow herring larvae distribution area, feeding peculiarities and poor zooplankton composition. Correlation ties have been revealed between the long-term abundance dynamics of Eurytemora and Nauplii, and meteorological parameters. The relations of the larvae feeding intensity and herring reproduction with food availability, food competition, and meteorological conditions (the sum of the mean daily negative temperature of the air in winter, solar radiation) have been defined.
