О морфологической изменчивости отолитов годовиков весенней сельди Балтийского моря

The data on the measurements taken from 913 otoliths of 1-year-old spring-spawning herring of the 1981, 1982 and 1984 year-classes are given. Most of the otoliths' morphometric signs are highly correlated with the otolith and fish lengths. High variations of all the signs examined have been outlined for different sea areas, in some cases being clinal character. Equations for linear regression have been given for relation between separate signs and the otolith length. Five morphometric signs have been identified which enable the determination of the Baltic herring stocks.
