Особенности распределения трески в период нереста в Восточной Балтике в 1986 – 1988 гг.

Using the data from exploratory cruises in the years 1986 - 1988 and oceanographical information and statistics for the 1963 - 1988 period, oceanological factors have been analyzed in terms of their influence upon the cod distribution dynamics during the spawning period in the Eastern Baltic. It has been confirmed that the spawning stock distribution and quantitative parameters depend upon the stock size and hydrological conditions of the sea (the thickness of the water layer suitable for spawning). According to the oceanographical situation and the cod distribution pattern, the year 1986 is considered to be a transitional year or of low aeration, and 1987 and 1988 — of stagnant conditions. The decrease in the catches of 1987 and 1988 in the eastern part of the sea is attributed to the reduction in the stock size as well as to the fish distribution pattern.
