Geomorphology and Dynamics of Mida Creek Sediments.

Mida Creek is mainly dominated by autochthonous (lntrabasinal) carbonaceous sediments comprised mainly of broken shells. The sediments are introduced into the Creek by tidal currents from the continental shelf Their dispersion within the Creek is mainly through suspension because of their fine sizes. The study of the physical and chemical characteristics of these sediments within their depositional environments is important in understanding of the factors influencing the sustainability of the marine ecosystem.
