To the question on herring and sprat growing period in the eastern and south-eastern Baltic
Baltic herring and sprat feeding in the Eastern and South-Eastern Baltic (ICES subdivisions 26 and 28) in 1974-1977 is considered. The data on food composition and the estimate of growing period of these fishes according to years are given. The influence of thermal regime and food supply on feeding intensity of fish during different periods of their annual cycle is noted, the best feeding areas are revealed.
