The state of the vimba bream stock in the Gulf of Riga in the conditions of the contemporary fishery regulations
The influence of hydro-meteorological conditions on the fishery for vimba bream (Vimba vimba) in the Gulf of Riga (Baltic Sea) is analyzed. In the conditions of the regulated fishery in 1960-1966 the stock of vimba bream consisted of the year-classes hatched in 1952-1966. The recommendations were presented for increasing of the efficiency of reproduction of the vimba bream and the maintenance of the stock on the average level in 1968-1969.
