Report of the rare green alga Penicillus dumetosus f. expansus Borgesen from Cuba and the Bahamas.
Penicillus dumetosus (J. V. Lamour.) Blain v.f. expansus Børgesen, a rarely recorded ta xon of benthic green algae originally described from U.S.Virgin Islands, is reported for the first time to Cuba and the Bahamas. The species is depicted in the literature for the first time.
