Karyology (chromosomal study) of the Caspian Sea kutum roach by white blood cells culture

The karyotype of Rutilus frisii kutum belonging to the south western basin of the Caspian Sea, was carried out by the method of white blood cells culture. The number of metaphasis chromosomes in this fish was determined to b 2n = 50 and the number of chromosomes arms nf=86 This karyotype consists of 8 pairs of metacentric (m), 10 pairs of submetacentric chromosomes (sm) and 7 pairs of sub telocentric or acrocentric (8m + 15sm + 7st - a). The biggest chromosome in this subspecies is a pair of sub telocentric chromosome.
