The Lake Victoria environment: its fisheries and its wetlands, a review
Gross ecological changes in the Lake Victoria ecosystem have been attributed to the role of species stockings particularly predation pressure by the Nile perch. Evidence for the decline attributed to the role of species stockings particularly ecological changes. Ecological theory predicts that natural fluctuations would occur in fisheries where predators and prey species could alternate in abundance.
