Comparative characteristics of water, sediments and some fish species pollution with heavy metals in the Lower Don and water reservoirs of Manych cascade in 2014-2015
Average results are presented on the content of heavy metals in water, sediments and fish (bream and crucian carp) in the Lower Don and natural reservoirs of the Manych Cascade of Rostov Region for the period 2014-2015. A comparative analysis is made of the water and sediments pollution by heavy metals in the Don River, Veselovskoye and Proletarskoye Reservoirs with regard to maximum permissible (MPC) and average specific concentrations. A comparative assessment is given of the levels of accumulation of heavy metals in fish and its habitat in accordance with the Russian regulations.
