Экологические особенности воспроизводства основных пелагофильных рыб в Балтийском море.

Ecological peculiarities of sprat, cod, flounder and hake reproduction on the main spawning grounds (from Bornholm to the Gulf of Finland) in 1968-1977 are considered. It was determined that more prolonged period of spawning and periods of mass spawning are characteristic of south-western and southern sea areas. Seasonal changes in species composition of ichthyoplankton in sea areas were observed. Sprat eggs and larvae dominate in Baltic ichthyoplankton on all spawning grounds. As a result of long-term investigations it was determined that main part of Baltic pelagophillous fish stocks reproduce in south-western and southern sea areas where prolonged spawning period and more stable conditions for eggs and larvae development in comparison with the eastern and north-eastern areas are observed.
