Результаты изучения популяционного состава и отолитов весенненерестующей сельди Балтийского моря
The results of mathematical processing of morphometric indications of 1409 indivi¬duals of spring herring of 1975 year-class collected in western, southern, eastern and north-eastern parts of the Baltic Sea reflect considerable variations of these indications according to sea areas. More over the change of some indications have clinical character. The groups marked out on the base of morphometric indications have connection with definite areas of sampling. Otolith investigations of 1602 herring individuals show that otoliths of spring herring in the Baltic Sea may be divided into 6 subtypes. The main mass of herring groups spawning on different spawning grounds may be distinguished according to the structure of otoliths.
