О связях сезонных циклов фито- и зоопланктона в Балтийском море

The impact of phytoplankton seasonal succession on the abundance (biomass), distribution, and reproduction intensity in the Baltic Sea zooplankton, with special reference to 1977, are considered. The forms destructed during the fixation of samples were not taken into account in the treatment of the material. It was noted, that in view of the heterogeneity of hydrometeorological and nutritional conditions, the terms of the succession transition to the subsequent stages were not similar in different sea areas. This influenced the species hierarchy distribution, the abundance of zooplankton. It was shown, that the intensity of zooplankton reproduction was determined by the presence of the small phytoplankton forms. The increase in the blue-green algae significance by the sea areas in summer was bound up with the decrease in nitrogen/ phosphorus ratio. On the basis of the comparison of the phytoplankton und zooplankton amounts in summer period the significance of other, except phytoplankton, food sources for zooplankton was suggested.
