Some biological character of Sillago sihama in Hormozgan Province

Sillago sihama, which is a member of Sillaginidae family, is one of the abundant fishes in coastal waters of Hormozgan province. This fish, which is a coastal immigrant, caught by set nets, hooks and beach seine during a year. Sampling was conducted monthly in 14 sites in Hormozgan province during a year (from August 97 to August 98).2.27% of total eatable fishes, which caught was Sillago sihama. The smallest and the biggest fish in length were 10cm and 33cm respectively. The maximum frequency of length was 12 cm. This research showed that this species spawn twice a year, in spring and autumn.
