Sensoriamento remoto na análise da expansão do uso e ocupação do solo em Petrolina-PE.

The scenarios seen on the San Francisco river has a high-use change and land cover caused by the pressure of human activities over the past 20 years. The exchange of areas of vegetation for areas of agriculture and urbanization has caused changes in the landscape and has encouraged studies of restoration of vegetation and monitoring of human actions. The analysis of expanding the use and occupation of different times allows the monitoring indicates the direction and speed of change over time and allows this remote sensing analysis from satellite imagery and techniques of digital image processing. This paper presents the methodology used to construct maps of land use and coverage of the city of Petrolina and resulted in the quantification and location of the classes of use in the years 1989, 1997 and 2008.
