Expressao sexual em melancia (Citrullus lanatus Thumb. Mansf.).
O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a expressao sexual em sete genotipos de melancia (Crimson-Sweet, Charleston Gray, New Hampshire Midget, B9, B13, P14, M7). Foram feitas cem observacoes ao acaso por genotipo, a fim de se verificar a concorrencia de flores feminias e hermafrotidas. Todos os genotipos apresentaram flores masculinas. Observou-se que os genotipos B9 e P14 apresentaram 100% de flores hermafroditas (andromonoicas), Crimson Sweet e New Hampshire MIdget apresentaram 92% e 97% de flores femininas, respectivamente (predominantemente monoticas) e CHarleston Gray, B13 e M7 apresentaram 100% de flores femininas (monoticas).
