CARACTERÍSTICAS DE DESEMPENHO, COMPORTAMENTO E EFICIÊNCIA ALIMENTAR DE FÊMEAS NELORE DE TRÊS CLASSES DE CONSUMO ALIMENTAR RESIDUAL.

Abstract: Information about the domestic life and food supply of 151 Nellore females, aged 9 to 12 months and contemporaneity of 90 days were used, accompanied by the Brazilian Nelore Program of the National Association of Breeders and Producers (ANCP). The females were submitted to a feed efficiency test in a feedlot equipped with electronic trough to control dry matter intake (DMI), with a duration of 90 days, at the Center for Animal Performance of the Embrapa Rice and Beans Regional Center, located in the State of Goiás. Feeding was provided three times a day in a total corn silage and concentrate mixture. The food efficiency was determined from the quantification of residual food consumption, DMI, feed conversion, feed efficiency, average daily gain, number of visits and time spent in the trough. The animals were also submitted to the initial and final body weighings every 14 days, with 14 hours solids fasting. Correlation analysis between the characteristics with the help of the R program (R Core Team, version 3.6.0). In addition, an analysis of variance was performed in order to verify the association between the characteristics and the classifications of residual food consumption.
