Suitability map for peste des petits ruminants outbreaks in the Union of the Comoros

Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV), responsible for peste des petits ruminants (PPR), is widely circulating in Africa and Asia. <br/> A Geographic Information System-based Multicriteria Evaluation was developed to map the areas suitable for PPR occurrence and spread in the Union of the Comoros. Factors associated with risk of PPR outbreaks in the Union of the Comoros were: goat density, sheep density, road density, proximity to water bodies, animal mobility index.
