Weed diversity and forage potential in olive groves and vineyards from a French Mediterranean region

The data set describes the weed species diversity and abundance, biomass production and quality in 16 vineyards and 16 olive groves along a pedoclimatic gradient in the French Mediterranean region (Occitanie) during the spring and fall of 2021. Leaf traits related to forage quality and digestibility were measured both at the species (n = 202) and the community (n = 305) levels. The data set includes a detailed description of pedoclimatic conditions and agricultural practices of all the surveyed fields.
