Frupalma's palm oil mill suffered from inadequate operational practices that placed its operations well below the average efficiency rates of other similar mills in the Northern Zone, where it is located. As of 2007, and based on related information published by Cenipalma in a technical bulletin, the company decided to implement best practices, which has yielded excellent results, bringing the company ahead of others in certain operations. This article presents the results.
