Fatty acid composition of Saxifragaceae oils [Grossularia burejensis, Hydrangea petiolaris, Saxifraga aquatic, Saxifraga moschata, Schizophragma hydrangeoides].
The fatty acid composition of the seed oil of 5 Saxifragaceae species was investigated. Grossularia burejensis [Ribes burejense] seed oil contained 12% gamma-linolenic acid and 6 percent stearidonic acid. Hydrangea petiolaris [H. anomala] and Schizophragmahydrangioides were rich sources of linoleic acid (75%).
